[A hard saying to understand]
Jesus said, \\"I am the bread of life...this is the bread which comes down from heaven that one may eat of it and not die\\"(John 6:48, 50). And, at that time, listening to these words of the Lord Jesus Christ, His disciples did not understand it, because they did interpret these words in the mundane sense. When they heard this said, \\"This is a hard saying who can understand it\\"(John 6:60). But Jesus answered, \\"It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life\\"(John 6:63). We must remember that the most importance for us in this world is not physical but spiritual.. |
