(1) Step One: Selection
Preacher must gather the books need to exposit the text of the Scripture from which he has strictly selected. In particular, it may be wise to select the authoritative books in order to the text of the sermon. And what can I do for the preparation of the sermon? He must not to, at first, depend on any books such as the commentaries before he receives the preaching inspiration from God.
Because it may intercept the Holy Spirit to give preaching inspiration. Preacher must at first receive the inspiration of the sermon from God through the Holy Spirit. And he should draw the sermon text out of the Scripture.
