Expository Preaching (Consecutive Exposition)
Consecutive Exposition
Consecutive exposition is a series of related sermons which systematically open up a book or extended portion of Scripture. It has a lot of strong points for the people, both the preacher and the audiences. The consecutive exposition make the nature of the Bible to be held. It helps people learn.
It encourages personal Bible reading and the preacher's personal growth. It promotes breadth and makes preaching on controversial subjects easier. It reduces preacher's panic. It ensures that the voice of God, and not jsut the voice of God, is heard in the church.
On the other hand, consecutive exposition also has some difficulties. One is that it requires work, and the other it can become tedious.
